Enhance Creativity using MyPaint
Unlike GIMP or Inkscape, MyPaint is a paint program. It’s useful for creating artworks or just to increase creativity by randomly create a drawing. I have looked for this type of program in GNU/Linux, but I only knew TuxPaint which is the paint application aimed for children. This article brought me to MyPaint. This application requires a graphic tablet to perform perfectly, but I could use my mouse to draw on the MyPaint canvas without quality loose.
This application will come with Ubuntu 10.04. Ubuntu 9.10 users, including myself, have to download the source code and build it manually because I couldn’t get deb repository package working on Ubuntu 9.10. The building and installation instructions are included in the source code package. It’s an easy two-step process.
I’m not going to write a lot about MyPaint. You can read more information about the application in this article.
